Piotr Pokora (University of the National Education Commission, Kraków) — Construction of free arrangements using point-line operators

We present new techniques that can be applied to line arrangements in the complex projective plane in order to construct new examples of free line arrangements. It is worth recalling that it is a notoriously difficult question to construct free arrangements with d ≫ 0 lines and there are no general methods that allow us to construct such examples. In my talk I will show how to overcome this difficulty in several cases, namely when our starting point is the geometry of the Hesse configuration or regular n-gons in the real projective plane.
My talk is based on a joint project with Xavier Roulleau (Angers).
